Who Am I?
My name is Dr. Amira May Woodruff. I am a dentist, and I love it.
However, once I became a dentist I accepted the box that society put me in. [She's a dentist.]
I refuse to stay in that box. I love being a dentist, but I'm so much more than that. Life is too short for me not to openly embrace all that I love and all that I am.
I started noticing that whenever I did something that dentists "don't normally do" people seemed surprised, yet intrigued. The feeling that you're only supposed to be a one-dimensional being is one that I don't want others, who crave more, to feel.
I am making it my mission to remind others who have been placed into a box that they too can embrace and pursue all things that they love.
I'm a joyful follower of God; I'm a wife; I'm a dentist; I'm a daughter; I'm a sister; I'm an aunt; I’m a friend; I'm an actor; I'm an entrepreneur; I’m a mentor; I'm an artist; I'm an author; I'm an animal lover.
I'm More than a Doc. What are you more than?
